Physical Therapy

For any part of the body that ails you (neck, shoulder, back, knee), our physical therapists can help you ease the pain and improve your quality of life. If you are recovering from surgery, or if an injury has you down, a physical therapy program can help you move freely again, feeling renewed and ready to get back to things you enjoy.

Physical therapists receive specialized education in a variety of sciences, and are able to use their unique knowledge of the body to assess each individual's specific condition. Personalized plans of care are developed to meet your needs and restore your function.

Specialized Rehabilitation Services include:

Concussion Rehabilitation 

Program includes:

  • Pre- and Post concussion screening
  • Baseling testing that includes - ImPACT testing, Balance Error Scoring System (BESS) and Sway Test
  • Treatment by a Certified Vestibular Physical Therapist
  • Follow-up with patient's own healthcare provider

Occupational Therapy

Young or old, we all have a job to do – the job of living. Unfortunately, disease, injury or developmental problems can make it difficult for some to do simple everyday tasks, be active and independent.

Occupational therapy is treatment to help people live as independently as possible. Occupational therapists work with people of all ages who, because of illness, injury, developmental delays, or psychological problems, need assistance in learning skills to help them lead independent, productive, and satisfying lives. Occupational therapists use work, self-care, and recreational activities to increase independent function

Speech-Language Pathology

Our speech language pathologists do more than help you speak. Speech, language, and swallowing disorders can occur as a result of stroke, trauma, rain injury, neurological diseases or developmental delays. Individuals with a variety of deficits may benefit from speech therapy:

FirstHealth Speech Language Pathologists provide objective diagnostic swallowing assessments, including Modified Barium Studies, flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing. Services may include screening, evaluation, consultation, therapy and counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The pathologists collaborate and work closely with other health care professionals to design a plan of care based on your individual needs.
