Our Basic Life Support team will transport non-emergency patients after being discharged from the hospital to their home, to a skilled nursing facility or to an assisted living facility.
FirstHealth BLS services also provides basic transport to doctor’s appointments, outpatient procedures, and other non-emergency destinations. For those patients who may not meet the requirement for an ambulance transport, we can also provide transport via wheelchair van.
Our fleet consists of three ALS/SCT transport teams 24 hours a day, with one ALS unit and one BLS unit working Monday through Friday.
We continue to improve our technological footprint on our vehicles with a GPS tracking system, wireless hot spots and use of the cloud for transmitting ECGs to the local ERs as well as FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
