Clinical trials provide an important way to determine whether new drugs or treatments are effective. These trials are developed to identify the best participants and maintain safety standards. Participants in clinical trials will:
- Have a more active role in their own health care
- Gain access to new research and treatments
- Help others by contributing to medical research
