Many athletic disorders are treated with arthroscopic surgery, a minimally invasive surgical method that uses a camera to look inside a joint along with specialized instruments to carry out any necessary surgery in that joint. Other injuries may respond to physical therapy or perhaps require more advanced surgery to promote optimum healing. Members of the orthopaedic team serve as team physicians for many of the high school athletic teams in the area.
