When to Go to the ER

Head to the ER or call 911 for severe or life-threatening problems such as:

  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Bad headache
  • Sudden weakness or speech changes
  • Bad abdominal pain
  • Severe fracture

Convenient Care for Urgent But Non-Emergent Needs

Go to Convenient Care for urgent but non-life-threatening issues such as:

  • Minor sprains, strains, or fractures
  • An X-ray
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • Cuts that may need stitches
  • Sports or teacher physicals

Virtual Care for Non-Urgent Conditions

Use FirstHealth's virtual care platform, FirstHealth On the Go, to treat conditions that do not require a visit to the ER or Convenient Care, such as:

Your Primary Care Provider for Routine & Preventative Care
