Our short-term, hospital-based programs are provided in a 28-bed unit specifically designed to care for adults ages 18 and older in a safe and healing environment to help them begin their journey to recovery.
Inpatient Admissions
Admission to inpatient care is voluntary or involuntary. Voluntary admission occurs when a patient recognizes the need for help and chooses to seek treatment. Involuntary admission is initiated when a patient is deemed unable to make safe decisions for themselves, often due to a behavioral health crisis, and is admitted for their own safety.
Moore Regional Hospital accepts referrals from emergency departments outside of the FirstHealth system. Our dedicated team coordinates closely with referring facilities to manage transitions smoothly and maintain continuity of care. Fax referrals to (910) 715-7058. Please include medical records.
On average, inpatient care lasts three to five days. Once a patient is in stable condition, they are typically transitioned to the next appropriate level of care.
Adult Inpatient Services Include
- Psychiatric treatment
- Substance abuse treatment
- Dual diagnosis treatment
- Medical management of alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal
