FAQ: Safety Remains Top Priority as FirstHealth Fitness Reopens

Your health and safety remains our top priority. Below are some frequently asked questions about what members should expect as they get back to their fitness routine. 

 

When will you open?  

Check each facility’s homepage for hours, as they vary widely. Group exercise, aqua classes, outdoor fitness, massage therapy and our kid centers are open and will operate on schedules specific to each center. If you have questions specific to your location, please call for guidance.  

 

Will I still be able to put my keys in the basket at the front? 

No, you will need to keep them with you.

 

Is towel service returning?  

We are continuing a suspension of our towel service, so please bring a towel or towels with you.

 

Is the pool open?  

Yes, our pools are open. Check aquatic schedules on our center homepages.

 

Can I bring my children to play in the pool?  

Yes, please check the facility pool schedules for more information. 

 

Will the steam room or sauna be open?  

Yes.

 

Will aquatic group exercise classes be held?  

Yes. We will continue to adhere to proper social distance recommendations.

 

Will swim lessons be held?  

Yes. Please visit our Aquatics section for more details on swim lessons and the upcoming schedule.  

 

Will the Kid Center be open?  

Yes. We will have strict limits according to guidelines and will social distance as best we can. Call your facility for hours and reservations. You will be able to keep your children in the center for a maximum of 1.5 hours.

 

Can I schedule a massage?  

Yes. Call your center to schedule an appointment. Appointment times will be staggered to limit numbers in the reception area, therapists will wear masks during the massage. Guests are encouraged to wear masks during the massage but it is not required.

 

What do I do if I don’t feel safe coming back?  

Your safety remains our top priority, and we are working hard at all our centers to regularly disinfect and clean all equipment and high-touch areas. You can get back to the Fitness you know and love with confidence, however, you can still put your membership on hold for 1-3 months. Please call your center for more details.

 

Who should I contact if I have a question about my bill?  

Contact our business office at 910-715-1837.

 

What if my membership is on hold and I want to come back?  

Contact our business office or ask at the front desk of the center you attend.  

 

What if I had a temporary membership when you closed?  

If you want to access the facility without activating your membership, you will be charged a guest fee. 

 

Are members going to have to wear masks?  

Masks are not required.

 

Are you going to control access to the facility for people who show visible symptoms of COVID-19?  

Yes. Staff will have the authority to ask members to leave if they are showing symptoms.

 

What should I do if I observe someone who is showing symptoms at the facility?  

Notify an employee immediately. To ensure your own safety, we ask that members allow staff to respond to questionable situations.
