FirstHealth of the Carolinas continues to closely monitor the spread of COVID-19.
Working in concert with local and state health officials, FirstHealth is committed to helping our communities stay safe and healthy.
As we all adjust to a new normal, FirstHealth has received many messages about how members of the community might be able to help. We hear you - and we want you all to be able to pitch in while also staying healthy. Below you'll find numerous ways to do that.
STAY HOME
It's a simple one, but it's the most important thing you can do right now. Social distancing is key to helping slow the spread of the coronavirus. Learn more about how you can keep yourself healthy.
MAKE MASKS
FirstHealth is accepting donations of sewn masks and encouraging all members of our community to wear masks when they are in public. We also encourage people to share sewn masks with family and friends. Follow these tips to make sure you are properly wearing yours.
Donated masks are sterilized by FirstHealth prior to use, and we ask that the masks not include rubber bands because they can't be properly sterilized. Here is a template for making an adult mask.
Please bring masks between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to one of the following FirstHealth Fitness centers. A collection bin will be located outside of the facilities for donations:
- Pinehurst
- Sanford
- Troy
- Raeford
- Rockingham
If you have other medical supplies you'd like to donate, please email marketing@firsthealth.org.
DONATE BLOOD
As coronavirus has spread throughout the country, blood donations are way down. If you are healthy, please consider donating blood. To find a blood drive in your area, click here.
