New Family Nurse Practitioner Joins FirstHealth Cardiology

PINEHURST, N.C. -- Logan Lewis, FNP, has joined the FirstHealth Pinehurst Medical Clinic Cardiology team.
Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University in Greenville, and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Lewis brings more than six years of nursing experience to the practice, having worked in orthopaedics, urology, cardiology, surgical care and internal medicine.
“Cardiology was my primary background as a nurse,” she said. “The heart is a complex organ and has always been very interesting to me.”
A native of Moore County, Lewis said she can’t wait to start seeing and treating new patients.
“I have always been a people person and thoroughly enjoy helping others. Healthcare allows you to be part of a person's journey and make a difference, which is part of the reason why I decided to become a nurse and further my career as a nurse practitioner,” Lewis said. She also credited a family member for her love of health care.
“My aunt, who was also a nurse, is another reason I decided to pursue a career in healthcare. She was a true role model and exemplified the true meaning of a nurse, practicing with passion and empathy,” Lewis said.
