Speaker:
Gretchen S. Arnoczy, M.D.
Dr. Arnoczy completed her medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Infectious Disease at the UNC School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. Dr. Arnoczy is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease and is professionally associated with FirstHealth of the Carolinas.

Learning Objectives:
• Appreciate the historical perspective of the treatments and outcomes associated with TB.
• Use the updated information on the pathogenesis, transmission, diagnosis and treatment of
Tuberculosis for better patient and public health outcomes.
• Make referrals to infectious disease experts and county
and state resources for more effective care including Directly
Observed Therapy (DOT).

Gap to be Filled:
Lack of up-to-date overall knowledge of TB.

Goals of this Live Activity:
Utilization of updated knowledge of TB to better diagnose, treat and reduce transmission
