SANFORD—Primary care services are expanding at FirstHealth’s Lee Campus with a new physician joining FirstHealth Primary Care in Sanford.
Board certified family medicine physician Jennifer Roehrs, D.O., will join Addison Zhang, M.D., at FirstHealth Primary Care on June 26, 2019. Dr. Roehrs will care for patients of all ages, from newborns to senior adults.
Dr. Roehrs earned a B.A., in biology and chemistry with a minor in mathematics from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and a D.O. in medicine from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Prior to joining FirstHealth, Dr. Roehrs worked for a medical clinic in Missouri providing full scope family medicine care.
Dr. Roehrs and her husband relocated to North Carolina earlier this year. Her husband, also a physician, is a professor at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Roehrs was attracted to FirstHealth by the system’s commitment to treating the whole patient and providing quality health care for the entire community.
“I like the mission of FirstHealth Lee Campus to address preventative care through exercise and fitness while also providing patients access to convenient care, primary care and specialty services,” says Dr. Roehrs. “It’s a comprehensive approach to health care.”
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Roehrs will care for patients throughout all stages of life. Her practice will include newborns, children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
“I desire to provide quality health care for the entire family and wish to partner with my patients to help them achieve their health and wellness goals,” adds Dr. Roehrs.
