FirstQuit Participants Celebrate One-year Quit Anniversary

| Date Posted: 3/21/2019

ROCKINGHAM – Leroy Brown (left) and Carlos Violrio (center), both of Richmond County, celebrate their one-year anniversary of being tobacco-free and graduating from FirstHealth’s FirstQuit program on February 28 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond (MRH – Richmond) in Rockingham. Brown and Violrio are pictured with Amy Hamilton-Forester, the outreach manager for FirstHealth Community Health Services in Richmond County. Forester leads the FirstQuit classes at MRH – Richmond. FirstQuit is a comprehensive tobacco cessation program using the latest techniques to assist tobacco users through the process of quitting smoking, chewing and other forms of tobacco use. Along with Quit Classes, FirstHealth offers a Support Group for FirstQuit graduates, of which Brown and Violrio still attend. FirstQuit is offered in Richmond, Moore, Montgomery, Hoke and Lee counties. For more information or to register for a class, call (888) 534-5333 or visit www.firsthealth.org/firstquit.
