Vision Rehabilitation at the Easter Blind Rehabilitation Center, West Haven

Learning Objectives
• Identify the patients who are and who are not appropriate to refer for a
low vision exam.
• Discuss how low vision can affect independent living and the quality
of life for the visually impaired demographic, specifically with “needs”
versus “wants” in activities of daily living
• Use specific questions during the annual physical exam to root out
and identify those who could benefit from a low vision exam.
