FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond Opens Lab Collection Center in Hamlet

HAMLET – FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond (MRH – Richmond) has opened a Lab Collection Center in Hamlet.
The center will act as a convenient collection site for all Richmond County residents, particularly those on the Hamlet side of Richmond County.
“The center was opened to provide better access for all patients in Richmond County,” says Lori Phagan, lab director at MRH - Richmond. “We not only serve patients that are established with FirstHealth providers, we also welcome patients from any providers not affiliated with FirstHealth.”
The center, which opened in June, will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is located next to FirstHealth Convenient Care in Hamlet.
The collection center is staffed by a certified phlebotomist/specimen processor. At this time, only blood and urine/stool specimens are being collected at the Hamlet center. Patients are welcome to drop off specimens they have collected at home, such as 24-hour urine and stool specimens, no appointment is needed.
