FirstHealth Dental Care Breaks Ground for New Location

BISCOE – FirstHealth of the Carolinas celebrated the beginning of construction of a new FirstHealth Dental Care location at the FirstHealth Montgomery School Health Center at East Middle School in Biscoe with a ceremonial groundbreaking. Participants included (from left to right) Dr. Dale Ellis, superintendent of Montgomery County Schools; Dena Locklear, program manager, FirstHealth Dental Care; Gina Smith, FNP – C, FirstHealth Montgomery School Health Center program; Sharon Nicholson Harrell, DDS, director of FirstHealth Dental Care; Beth Walker, president of FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital; and Dan Barnes, D.O., president of FirstHealth Physician Group. A $630,000 grant from The Duke Endowment will fund construction at the East Middle clinic and a second clinic at West Middle School in Mt. Gilead, which will open in the fall of 2017 and early winter 2018, respectively. Once construction is complete FirstHealth Dental Care will relocate from their current location in Troy to the two new centers.
