PINEHURST – FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has been named one of America’s 100 Great Community Hospitals in 2017, according to a study released June 5 by Becker’s Hospital Review.
“We are very pleased to again be recognized by Becker’s for providing quality care to our patients and serving our community in many ways,” says David J. Kilarski, chief executive officer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas. “We are proud of our physicians, employees and volunteers who work every day to provide exceptional and safe quality care. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to the patients and communities we serve.”
As Moore Regional campuses, Richmond Memorial and MRH-Hoke are also included in the designation.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of key awards, rankings and certifications in addition to the hospital's reputation for leadership and innovation.
Becker’s has published a version of this list annually since 2011, and this is the third year Moore Regional has been included. For the purposes of this list, Becker’s defines a ‘community hospital’ as one with fewer than 550 beds that have minimal teaching programs.
Hospitals included on the Becker’s list are recognized for quality, patient satisfaction and overall excellence and play a key role in their communities as the centerpiece for health care in many occasions.
