PINEHURST – Amanda Ellis Picerno, PA-C, has joined FirstHealth Neurosurgery in Pinehurst as a certified physician assistant.
Other members of the FirstHealth neurosurgical team include Cynthia Z. Africk, M.D.; Dennis M. Campbell, M.D.; and Michael D. Fromke, M.D.
Picerno received a B.S. degree in biology and a B.A. degree in chemistry summa cum laude from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and a Masters of Physician Assistant Practice from the Physician Assistant Program at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
Before returning to school for her physician assistant studies, she was employed as clinical lab supervisor at Carolina Arthritis Center in Greenville. She is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
