FirstHealth Hospice Receives Dow Chemical Foundation Grant

PINEHURST – The Dow Chemical Company Foundation has awarded a grant to FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care that will support hospice and palliative care as an important part of the health care delivery system in the FirstHealth community.
A part of the Dow Foundation’s support of local communities in which Dow Chemical employees and retirees live, the grant also recognizes FirstHealth Hospice volunteers for their special contributions to the local program.
Hospice and palliative care is a medically directed program of support services for people with a life-limiting illness and their families. Most of these services are provided in patient homes.
