FIRST BABY OF 2017 – Guillermo Guijosa Zapata was supposed to make his debut on January 8, 2017. Instead, he entered the world at 7:37 a.m. on New Year’s Day at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. His mom, Dora E. Zapata, who lives in Rockingham, says she is very excited to have him here. Moore County’s first baby of 2017 weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long when he was delivered by John Byron, M.D., of Southern Pines Women’s Health Center, a FirstHealth Clinic.
