1IN 8K DONATION – Tony Price (at right), CEO of the Moore Free & Charitable Care Clinic, meets with two representatives of FirstHealth of the Carolinas to accept a check for the clinic’s share of proceeds from the 2016 1 in 8K – Moore for the Cure. Pictured with him are Chris Miller, administrative director of FirstHealth Community Health Services, (at left); and Debbie McGahey, representing The Foundation of FirstHealth’s Cancer CARE Fund. The $6,653 going to the clinic will fund mammography scholarships for underserved patients. The Foundation of FirstHealth and the Susan K. Komen Foundation received equal amounts that will also assist with breast cancer awareness programs. More than 450 runners participated in the 1 in 8K, which was held Sept. 10 in the Village of Pinehurst.
