Henry Orthodontics Donates to FirstHealth Dental Care

SOUTHERN PINES - October was National Orthodontic Month and for the second year in a row, Michael Henry, DDS, or Henry Orthodontics held a 24-hour Halloween cookie "like-a-thon" on Facebook. Local dentists and their staff members, as well as community members ate Halloween molar-shaped cookies from The Bakehouse in Aberdeen, and captured a picture while eating the cookies. The pictures were then posted and shared on Facebook. For every "like" a picture received, Dr. Henry donated $1 to FirstHealth Dental Care. The "like-a-thon" resulted in 3,670 "likes" in a 24-hour period, beating last year's number of 2,400 "likes.
"I think it was a great way to provide exposure for the wonderful things FirstHealth, and Dr. Harrell and her crew specifically, do for some of the children in need in greater Moore County," says Michael Henry, DDS. "I was more than happy to contribute!"
FirstHealth Dental Care provides dental care to underserved children in Moore, Montgomery and Hoke counties. The dentists and staff at FirstHealth Dental Care provide care for children from birth to 21 years who receive Medicaid, Health Choice or are uninsured and qualify by income level. Services provided include preventive dental sealants, cleanings and exams, white and silver fillings, extractions and spacers.
