FirstHealth Moore Employees Give Back to BackPack Pals

PINEHURST - FirstHealth employees and volunteers partnered with BackPack Pals of Moore County to provide food items for children in Moore County Schools for the second year in a row as part of the hospital's holiday giving opportunity. BackPack Pals provides items to children who do not have enough food for weekends or other extended periods of time when school is not in session. Employees donated 3,200 pounds of individually packaged food items as well as more than $3,300 in money or gift cards for a total equivalent of 19,674 meals for approximately 1,100 children in Moore County. FirstHealth delivers between 90 and 100 backpacks to the Robbins area each week.
