Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgeons, all other interested physicians who care for cancer patients, mid-level providers and all other interested health care professionals.

 

Speaker

Martin J. Edelman, M.D.

Dr. Edelman completed his medical education at The Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.  He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, and his residency in Internal Medicine at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California.  Dr. Edelman also completed a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California.  He is professionally associated with the University of Maryland.

 

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Examine current indications and recent clinical trial results and ongoing studies regarding the adjuvant therapy of resected lung cancer.
  • Inspect current approaches and recent clinical trial results regarding the treatment of locally advanced (stage III) NSCLC.
  • Discuss the results and ongoing studies with immunotherapy for NSCLC.

 

Professional Practice Gap to be filled: Knowledge of best practices and evidence-based medicine for the treatment of lung cancer.
