Nicole H. Odom, MD will present this CME program for all interested physicians, mid-levels and health care professionals who care for patients with epilepsy.
At the completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify patients that have medically refractory epilepsy who may be appropriate surgical candidates.
- Recognize unique issues related to anti-epilepsy drugs (AED) use in special populations such as in pregnant women, lactating women and the elderly.
- Identify hospitalized patients at risk for seizures and recognize clinical utility of continuous EEG monitoring.
