Jed E. Rose, PhD will present this CME program for all physicians and interested health care professionals who care for patients who smoke.
Dinner begins at 5:45 p.m. with the program to follow at 6:15 p.m.
At the completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss the behavioral and pharmacologic components of cigarette smoking that promote addiction.
- Examine the efficacy of current smoking cessation treatments and factors limiting their effectiveness.
- Describe the operation of electronic nicotine delivery systems, including e-cigarettes, and their efficacy in promoting smoking cessation/harm reduction.
