RAEFORD – When Bobbi Clark, R.N., worked in Oncology Services for FirstHealth of the Carolinas, she reported to clinical director Susan Beaty, R.N.

When Beaty became administrator of the new FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus in late 2013, Clark succeeded her as Oncology Services clinical director.

In her new job, as director of Patient Care Services/nurse executive for the Moore Regional-Hoke Campus, Clark once again reports to Beaty, who is now president of the FirstHealth hospital in Hoke County.

“Susan is a great motivator, and I look forward to working with her again,” says Clark, who assumed her Hoke Campus role on March 23. “I like her leadership style, and I think that’s one reason we work so well together. She has taught me so much about so many different things.”

Beaty holds Clark in the same high regard. “Bobbi is an excellent nurse and an excellent nurse leader,” Beaty says. “We worked together at Richmond Memorial Hospital and in the Medical Oncologyprogram, and we have always had a great working relationship. We also respect each other as individuals, so I look forward to another great team effort here on the Hoke Campus.”

A native of Scotland County, Clark has had various direct patient care and nurse leadership rolessince she joined FirstHealth in July 2003. She worked in the Critical Care Unit and on the Hiatt nursing floor at Moore Regional and with FirstHealth Home Care. At Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham, she worked in the Intensive Care Unit before becoming director of Outpatient Services.

A 2003 graduate of Sandhills Community College with an associate degree in nursing, Clark earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UNC-Pembroke in 2007. She and her husband, Chad, an analyst with Piedmont Natural Gas, reside in Richmond County with their two young daughters, ages 4 years and 8 months.

In her previous role with FirstHealth Oncology Services, Clark was responsible for the infusion staff in the outpatient cancer programs in both Pinehurst and Sanford. At MRH-Hoke Campus, she supervises the Operating Room, Medical/Surgical and Emergency Department nursing staff.

“I’m very excited,” Clark says of her new position. “I think it’s a great opportunity for me. A great group of people work at MRH-Hoke Campus, and I’m excited about being a part of the team.”
