FIRSTHEALTH PALS FOR BACKPACK PALS –FirstHealth employees and volunteers partnered with BackPack Pals of Moore County to provide food items for children in Moore County Schools as part of the hospital’s 2014 holiday giving opportunity. BackPack Pals provides items to children who do not have enough food for weekends or other extended periods of time when school is not in session. Employees donated 2,328 pounds of individually packaged food items as well as more than $3,000 in money or gift cards for a total equivalent of 18,555 meals.
