- Describe early social & communication “red flags” for autism spectrum disorders
- Identify ASD surveillance and screening tools
11: 45 a.m. Topic: Evaluation and Management of Headache in Children
Speaker: Michael B. Tennison, MD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Objectives:
- Describe the epidemiology of childhood headache including the frequency of childhood migraine and rarity of serious intracranial lesions
- Recognize the “red flags” that suggest a serious etiology of headache
- Examine criteria for diagnosing, the rescue and preventative treatments of childhood migraine
- Make appropriate referrals of patients with headache
