Each year, the local Hallmark franchise features a card promotion in which customers are invited to buy greeting cards to be donated to an identified area organization. As this year’s designated recipient, FirstHealth Hospice received cards of all varieties – birthday, sympathy, birth, etc. – to be sent to patients or patient families in the event of a notable occasion. “This gift of Hallmark and their customers will allow us to identify opportunities for celebration or comfort,” says Susanne Martínez, Hospice Volunteer Services manager. “In fact, we've already begun utilizing the cards in the Hospice House.”
