On Thursday, March 20, at its Community Health Conference Room, FirstHealth of the Carolinas hosted a reception recognizing the 25th anniversary of the first graduating class of paramedics and mobile intensive care nurses from Montgomery Community College. Twenty-five years ago, this cooperative link of programs provided the maximum level of emergency pre-hospital care of anywhere in the state of North Carolina. Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services and Montgomery Memorial Hospital had the first functioning program in Region H, which included Montgomery, Anson, Richmond and Moore counties.
