Southern Pines – FirstHealth Dental Care has expanded its services to offer care for Medicaid, N.C. Health Choice and uninsured patients until they reach age 21.
Services for Medicaid patients will continue as usual. N.C. Health Choice patients whose coverage ends at age of 18 will have to pay $50 per visit if their income meets the federal poverty guidelines and they do not have private insurance. Uninsured patients will continue to pay $50 per visit.
FirstHealth has provided dental care to more than 25,000 underserved children in Moore, Montgomery and Hoke counties for more than 15 years.
With the recent change, the dentists and staff at FirstHealth Dental Care will provide care for children from birth to 21 years who receive Medicaid or Health Choice or are uninsured and qualify by income level.
Services include preventive dental sealants, cleanings and exams, white and silver fillings, extractions and spacers.
