FirstHealth Neurosurgery Moving to Larger Pinehurst Office

PINEHURST – With the beginning of 2014, the Pinehurst office of FirstHealth Neurosurgery will move to a larger, more accessible location that remains convenient to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital and other related services.
The three FirstHealth neurosurgeons – Carol M. Wadon, M.D.; Bruce P. Jaufmann, M.D., and Larry Van Carson, M.D. – will begin seeing patients at 10 Aviemore Drive, Pinehurst, on Jan. 6, 2014. The location, which previously housed Pinehurst Family Care Center, has been newly renovated to accommodate the expanded FirstHealth Neurosurgery clinic.
For the past several years, the Pinehurst office of FirstHealth Neurosurgery has been located in the Pinehurst Surgical building in the FirstVillage complex across Memorial Drive from Moore Regional Hospital. With the January 2014 move, however, the office will move to the opposite side of the Moore Regional campus, but still within easy access of such related services as FirstHealth Back & Neck Pain, FirstHealth Physical Therapy and the FirstHealth Outpatient Center.
“Our goal at FirstHealth Neurosurgery is to provide quality, patient-centered care, and our new location will enhance our abilities to continue to meet that goal,” says Joy Martin, R.N., director, FirstHealth Neurosurgery.
With the exception of the Christmas/New Year holidays, the office will maintain consistent patient appointment hours. Although the telephone number will change to (910) 715-8700 or (855) 535-8700 with the move, the current number will ring to the new location for several months.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this move may cause,” says Martin. “At the same time, we are excited about our new, more convenient and easily accessible office space.”
FirstHealth Neurosurgery also has offices in Fayetteville, at 3650 Cape Center Drive, Ste. 100; and in Sanford, at 1227 Carthage St.
