HOKE COUNTY – A community-wide grand opening celebration for Hoke County’s first hospital will take place Sunday, Sept. 22. To be held in conjunction with the annual North Carolina Turkey Festival, the grand opening will also highlight prize winners from events taking place throughout the week of the festival.
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus is scheduled to accept its first patients on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
“FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has a solid reputation for quality health care and high marks for patient satisfaction,” says Julian King, Hoke County resident and chairman of the FirstHealth Board of Directors. “Residents of Hoke County will soon have access to the same top-notch hospital care and clinical expertise right here at home.”
FirstHealth’s Hoke Campus will operate under the same name, leadership and medical staff as Moore Regional in Pinehurst. The same Pinehurst-based physicians including emergency room doctors and specialists will provide services at the Hoke County hospital.
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus will feature an emergency department providing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week; inpatient beds; an operating room; imaging services including X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI; diagnostic cardiology; and lab services. An adjacent physician office and specialty center building will provide space for medical and surgical specialists.
“The Sept. 22 grand opening event is going to be a memorable celebration to include hospital tours, refreshments, entertainment, door prizes and more,” says King. “This is an exciting milestone for our community, and we look forward to commemorating this event with our friends and neighbors in Hoke County.”
