FirstHealth Convenient Care Service to Open in Raeford

RAEFORD – Hoke County residents needing quality attention for their immediate health care needs will soon have the option of FirstHealth FirstCare, a seven-day-a-week convenient care service provided by FirstHealth of the Carolinas.
The facility will open Monday, July 30, at 4565 Fayetteville Road, Raeford (in front of Walmart). An open house featuring children’s activities, snacks and giveaways will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The FirstCare staff is headed by medical director Lisa R. Cowan, M.D., a physician who is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
The FirstCare practice will focus on the treatment of immediate health care needs including simple twisted ankles, mild to moderate sunburn, infections, asthma attacks, and symptoms of cold and flu.
Appointments are not necessary at FirstHealth FirstCare, which is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call (910) 878-5100.
