David Williams, (center), dental program manager of the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers, accepts a $750 grant from the Sandhills Rotary Club Charitable Foundation at the club’s July 11 meeting at the Pinehurst Hotel. The grant will go to the Kids in Crisis Fund, which helps children obtain necessary dental care that falls outside the scope of services provided by the Dental Care Centers. In many cases, these children are denied care because their parents are uninsured and can’t afford the cost of the dental work.
