Sharon Harrell, DDS (center), director of the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers, accepted a $1,000 grant from the Pinehurst Rotary Club Charitable Foundation at the club’s June 19 meeting at the Pine Crest Inn. The grant will go to the Kids in Crisis Fund, which helps children obtain necessary dental care that falls outside of the scope of services available at the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers. In many cases, these children are denied care because their parents are uninsured and can’t afford the cost of the dental work. Pictured with Dr. Harrell are David Williams (left), Pinehurst Rotary Club member and FirstHealth dental health programs manager; and John Bullard, Pinehurst Rotary Club president.
