Hospital employee Joy Fish (left) watches as “Boo Boo Bear” explains proper lifejacket usage to children attending the 2012 Teddy Bear Affair at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital. Held this year on May 8 and 9, the annual Teddy Bear Affair prepares Montgomery County first-graders for what they might expect to encounter if they should have to go to the hospital. They also learn about dental care, poison control and water safety and enjoy a tour of an ambulance. In addition, each child receives a Teddy Bear Affair T-shirt, sponsored in part by the Montgomery Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. |
