Batchelor elected to second term on N.C. Nurses Association Board

PINEHURST – Cheryl Batchelor, MSN, FACHE, NEA-BC, APN-BC, of New Hill, has been elected to a second-term as secretary of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Nurses Association for the 2012-13 term.    

Batchelor is interim chief nursing officer at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master’s degree in nursing from East Carolina University and a post-graduate certificate from Duke University. 

She is also a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

The North Carolina Nurses Association is the only professional nurses association that represents all registered nurses in the state.  The organization focuses on professional development for the registered nurse, healthy workplace environments and promotion of health for North Carolinians.
