When Geoff Brone decided to visit the FirstHealth of the Carolinas booth at the Hoke Centennial Family Night on April 15, he had no idea that he’d be leaving the booth $100 better off as the winner of a grand prize drawing. Barbara Adcock of FirstCarolinaCare Insurance Company is shown here presenting a jar filled with 100 $1 bills to Brone during the Centennial event at the Hoke High School Stadium. More than 200 people visited the FirstHealth booth during the evening to learn more about the organization’s plans for a 65-bed hospital in Hoke County, to register for door prizes, and to get balloons and other treats. In addition to the various FirstHealth employees who were on hand to talk about FirstHealth’s current services in Hoke County as well as its plans for the future, two representatives from Sandhills Pediatrics were present to share information about the new pediatrics practice that is scheduled to open at the FirstHealth Raeford Center in May. |
