Respiratory therapists Teresa Gillispie (left) and Susan Gobush listen to “Boo Boo Bear” breathe during the 2010 Teddy Bear Affair at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital. Held this year on May 10 and 11, the annual Teddy Bear Affair prepares Montgomery County first-graders for what they might expect to encounter if they should have to go to the hospital. They also learn about dental care and poison control, and enjoy a tour of an ambulance. In addition, each child receives a Teddy Bear Affair T-shirt, sponsored in part by the Montgomery Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
