Moore Regional Pregnancy Fair set for April 22 at Fair Barn
PINEHURST – There is nothing more important for an expectant mom than preparation, according to Christine Siska, R.N.-C, clinical director for 2A, Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
“Being prepared for pregnancy and childbirth is important to your health, and it’s important to the health of your baby,” she says.
Moore Regional Hospital’s Pregnancy Fair is designed to help moms-to-be prepare by providing information about pregnancy, childbirth, baby care and related community services in a fun, informal and relaxed atmosphere.
The upcoming program on Thursday, April 22, will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fair Barn at the Harness Track off Highway 5 in Pinehurst. Experts on prenatal care, pediatrics, childbirth, mother-baby care, neonatal services, breast-feeding and other topics will be available to answer questions.
More than 30 vendors will also be on hand with a variety of giveaways to share.
“We feel it’s important for mothers and the entire family to get a good head start,” says
Siska. “The Pregnancy Fair is an excellent way for people to learn the basics about childbirth and parenting. They also get the opportunity to ask experts about more detailed questions or concerns they may have.”
There is no cost to attend the Pregnancy Fair, and registration is not necessary. For more information or directions, call (910) 715-2275 or (800) 213-3284 toll-free.
