Pinehurst Surgical Clinic Urologist Joins FirstHealth Urology in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Antonios Zacharias Karamalegos, M.D., is now seeing patients at FirstHealth Urology in Fayetteville, located at 3716 Morganton Road.
A urologist with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, Dr. Karamalegos will see patients Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. To make an appointment, call (910) 302-8026.
Dr. Karamalegos received his Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed a general surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and a urology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He said he became interested in urology while exploring various surgical specialties in medical school.
“I was attracted to urology because it offers both medical and surgical treatments for conditions,” Dr. Karamalegos said. “Additionally, urology provides patient variety, encompassing both adult and pediatric populations.”
Prior to joining Pinehurst Surgical Clinic and FirstHealth, he worked at Scotland Health Care System in Laurinburg, North Carolina. A board certified urologist and surgeon with more than 34 years of experience, Dr. Karamalegos diagnoses and treats a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical conditions and cancers.
Conditions he treats include urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney stones, male infertility, impotence (ED), as well as various prostate conditions.
After completing medical school and training in Michigan, he has called Pinehurst home for the past 27 years. He and his wife recently moved to Lake Pinehurst, where he enjoys paddle boarding and pontoon boating in his spare time. They have two sons who both live and work in North Carolina.

FirstHealth Urology and Pinehurst Surgical Clinic board certified urologists provide treatment and management for a variety of urological conditions for patients in Pinehurst, Fayetteville and Sanford. FirstHealth Urology providers are under contract with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic.
