Nurse Practitioner Jaime Delivuk Returns to Sandhills to Join FirstHealth, Pinehurst Medical Clinic Oncology Team

| Date Posted: 8/26/2022

PINEHURST, N.C. – FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) continue to expand their cancer care team with the addition of nurse practitioner Jaime Delivuk.

Delivuk previously worked with oncology patients at FirstHealth of the Carolinas and worked as an emergency department nurse at FirstHealth’s Moore Regional Hospital – Hoke campus. She earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022 at Georgetown University and completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. Delivuk said she’s thrilled to be joining FirstHealth/PMC to treat oncology patients.

“I am excited to be back with the FirstHealth and PMC team in my new role because the teams and both organizations are amazing,” Delivuk said. “This team feels like a family. Working in medicine is truly rewarding, and I continue to look forward to what the future brings.”

Delivuk said she discovered her interest in medicine and joy for helping others during high school.

“I used to clean and dress wounds when friends got hurt and try to help people when they were sick. I found joy doing this. After high school, I decided I wanted to become a nurse to help people,” she said. “I later joined the Army as a medic to make sure I could handle the medical field, and in doing that, I found my true calling. I can positively impact others’ lives, and I keep that in mind every day.”

Outside of work, Delivuk said she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and reading a good book. She also spends time outside hiking, snowboarding and swimming.

As part of FirstHealth’s growing Cancer Services team, Delivuk and the rest of the PMC team will soon care for patients under one roof in the FirstHealth Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In addition to state-of-the-art treatment facilities, the four-story, 120,000-square-foot center will house palliative care services, research and clinical trials, navigation and support services for patients and caregivers, nutrition services and a dedicated wellness center. Construction work began on the center in May 2021 and the center is expected to open to patients in early 2023.
