FirstHealth Convenient Care-Lake Tillery Closes, Walk-In Care to be Offered in New Location Later this Summer
| Date Posted: 6/8/2022
Mt. Gilead, N.C. —FirstHealth of the Carolinas closed its Lake Tillery Convenient Care location effective June 1.
According to Dan Barnes, D.O., president of FirstHealth Physician Group, the decision to close the facility was made in part because of ongoing staffing challenges.
“Continuing to provide walk-in urgent care options for patients in Montgomery County remains a priority,” said Barnes. “We are working with other FirstHealth clinics in Montgomery County to begin offering a same-day walk-in clinic later this summer.”
FirstHealth also offers a convenient virtual care option through FirstHealth On the Go. The app-based service is available anytime, anywhere on a smartphone. On the Go physicians are board certified and can treat many common medical conditions, including cold and flu symptoms, allergies, pink eye, sinus problems and skin problems.
