FirstHealth and Pinehurst Surgical Clinic to Open Specialty Services and Convenient Care Clinic in Fayetteville

Fayetteville, N.C. — FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Pinehurst Surgical Clinic will open a new multi-specialty clinic located at 3716 Morganton Road in Fayetteville on May 2. Services will initially include convenient care, occupational health, interventional pain medicine, vascular, orthopaedics and spine orthopaedics. 

 

“We are proud to partner with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic to add high-quality specialty care in Cumberland County,” said Dan Barnes, D.O., president of FirstHealth Physician Group. “Additionally, our Convenient Care Clinic will allow patients to easily access walk-in care for non-emergent needs seven days a week.”

The new Fayetteville location features a well-established team of orthopaedic specialists with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic.  Orthopaedic spine surgeons Daniel Williams, M.D., and Alexander Lemons, M.D., and orthopaedic surgeons James Marino, M.D., David Casey, M.D., and Certified Physician Assistants Tyler Beaman, Chad Cole, Lee Cruz, Matthew Cuthrell, Chad Frazer and Amanda Picerno offer a complete range of treatments for nearly every orthopaedic condition including sports injuries; joint disorders of the knee, hip and shoulder; arthritis; neck, spine and back injuries and disorders; osteoporosis; and hand and foot disorders.

 

Vascular surgeon Paul Vieta, M.D., and several certified physician assistants will provide care for a number of circulatory problems and vascular conditions, including varicose and spider veins, dialysis access management, abdominal aortic aneurysms, claudication, peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery stenosis and much more.

 

FirstHealth Convenient Care will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, to serve adults and children with urgent, but non-emergency medical needs including such ailments as upper respiratory infection, strep, mild asthma, flu and urinary tract infection as well as minor injuries such as cuts, burns and broken bones that have not broken the skin. Imaging services, immunizations and sports physicals are also among the various services offered, as well as flu shots.

 

Linda Hughes, M.D., will staff the Fayetteville convenient care location. Prior to joining FirstHealth Convenient Care, Hughes served as a longtime family medicine physician in the area. 

 

Rounding out the services offered at the new clinic is FirstHealth Interventional Pain Medicine staffed by Tracy Pritchard, N.P.  Pritchard and the team of specialists in anesthesiology and pain management at FirstHealth Interventional Pain Medicine provide diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of chronic pain including the newest and most advanced treatment options.
