FirstHealth Recognizes Certified Nurses Day

| Date Posted: 3/18/2022

PINEHURST, N.C. - FirstHealth of the Carolinas is celebrating Certified Nurses Day on March 19 by honoring more than 220 nationally certified nurses who work across the FirstHealth system.

National certification of nurses demonstrates a dedication to the profession and validates mastery of skills, knowledge and abilities for the delivery of high-quality care.

The nursing environment has become increasingly complex and requires intricate care from an inter-professional team. While a registered nurse (R.N.) license provides entry to general nursing practice, today’s nursing requires nurses to be lifelong learners with extensive education as well as a strong personal commitment to excellence.

FirstHealth of the Carolinas supports national certification for every nurse. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification Program provides the opportunity to advance nursing practice and one’s career in a wide variety of specialties such as medical-surgical, pediatric, pain management, cardiac vascular, oncology, hospice, case management, emergency nursing, critical care and many others.

Today and every day, join FirstHealth in honoring those hardworking, dedicated nurses for their dedication, professionalism, and a job well done.
