Interventional Cardiologist Tiffany Bonnecaze, M.D., Joins FirstHealth Cardiology and Pinehurst Medical Clinic

| Date Posted: 8/2/2021

PINEHURST, N.C. -- FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Pinehurst Medical Clinic recently welcomed a new fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist, Tiffany Bonnecaze, M.D.

Bonnecaze joins Pinehurst Medical Clinic’s cardiology team and will serve patients through FirstHealth Cardiology. She recently completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and said she’s looking forward to working with a team of cardiology professionals committed to quality patient care.

“What drew me to FirstHealth and Pinehurst Medical Clinic was the collaborative atmosphere within the two groups,” she said. “These practices will allow me to continue to grow while practicing interventional cardiology in the Sandhills.”

Bonnecaze earned her Doctor of Medicine from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Southern Adventist University in 2010. Bonnecaze said she’s had an interest in medicine since childhood.

“Growing up I enjoyed reading books written by physicians and surgeons that detailed interesting cases and the things they learned from their patients,” she said. “These stories, paired with the support of my family and professors, helped lead me to a career in medicine. I found a love for cardiology in medical school and now many years later I am excited to practice interventional cardiology.”

Outside of work, Bonnecaze said she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and the couple’s Siberian Husky, Rocky. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with friends.

FirstHealth Cardiology and Pinehurst Medical Clinic are committed to meeting the area’s growing need for access to cardiac care, specializing in treating several diseases and conditions to include coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and much more.
