Dare to Care: Awareness and Prevention of Human Trafficking

Speaker Darilyn Ruotolo, LCSW-A, discusses human trafficking and how to increase provider awareness and offer strategies for the prevention of human trafficking.
Ruotolo is originally from New York where she received her Bachelor's in Applied Psychology from Farmingdale State College and her MSW from Stony Brook University.
She currently works at Friend to Friend in Carthage, NC where she provides community education on Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking to school staff and students, hotel staff, healthcare professionals, and community members as well as counseling to Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking survivors. Additionally, Darilyn works for the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills where she works directly with participants who are currently in the Juvenile Justice program.
