Matthew Reinhardt, M.D., Named Medical Director of Wound Care & Hyperbarics

PINEHURST, N.C. -- Matthew Reinhardt, M.D., has been named the new medical director of Wound Care & Hyperbarics at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital and Moore Regional Hospital campuses in Hoke and Richmond counties.
Reinhardt joined FirstHealth’s wound care team in 2017 after serving as a specialist in emergency medicine. Dr. Reinhardt received a B.A. degree in history from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, before earning his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, where he was chief resident during his third year in the program.

FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics is a member of the Healogics network of more than 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
Advanced wound care modalities offered at MRH include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
