FirstHealth is excited to bring even more services to Lee County residents with the construction of a multi-specialty medical office building and fitness center located at 2919 Beechtree Drive off US 1 in Sanford.
In addition, FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Pinehurst Medical Clinic Inc. recently embarked on a new partnership to provide cardiac services to residents in Lee County. The new affiliation is called FirstHealth Cardiology-Pinehurst Medical Clinic, and the specialists who see patients in the Sanford office are Mahmoud K. Atieh, M.D.; Michael Gillespie, M.D.; and Lukas Jantac, M.D.
Opening Fall 2018
The three-story, 40,000-square-foot medical office building will include an ambulance pick-up, a secondary provider entry and a mobile imaging pad as well as office space for medical and surgical specialties.
The 25,000-square-foot fitness center will include a pool, physical therapy area, an indoor walking track, free-weights and cardio areas, and a child care facility.

As you can see from the aerial photos below, construction is moving forward at a fast pace. The multi-specialty medical office building and fitness center are on schedule to open September 2018.
